For many years the lower stew pond on Epsom common has needed to
be de-silted and for years the council have ignored it of said they
have no money.
The water level is so low now that the fish are boiling in the
water during the summer months, to the extent that 575+ died last
year.
Epsom and Ewell council have shown a blatant disregard to the
safety of the water eco-system, and also gross negligence towards
animal life. If something is not done urgently the fish kills will
become a regular problem and leaving the stew pond barren.
So please sign this petition to help the fish and regenerate the
area back to the beauty spot it used to be.
TIA
