Questions from the Public
Members of the public who live, work, attend an educational establishment or own or lease land in the Borough may submit a written question to, or ask a question verbally, at meetings of the Strategy and Resources, Community and Wellbeing, Environment and Safe Communities, Licensing and Planning Policy or Audit, Crime & Disorder and Scrutiny Committees on matters within the Terms of Reference of the body in question.
A person who wishes to ask a written question must submit their question in writing (either in hard copy or by email) to the Council’s Chief Legal Officer. The written question must arrive by noon on the tenth working day before the day of the meeting.
For more details on how to submit a valid written question and what will happen to it, please see the Rules of Procedure set out in Part 4 of the Council’s Constitution.
Please note: Speaking at the Planning Committee is subject to different rules. Please see the meeting agenda for further information.
